B. Architectural Drawings & Designs

  • Unless explicitly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, all architectural drawings, floor plans, 2D/3D drafts, structural specifications, and preliminary designs produced by PermitGuys remain the intellectual property of PermitGuys.
  • Upon full payment for services, clients are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the final stamped drawings solely for the specific property and project specified in the contract.
  • Drawings may not be resold, reused, or transferred to other sites or third parties without written consent from PermitGuys.

4. Municipal Approvals & Disclaimers

PermitGuys prepares drawings and documentation in accordance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and local municipal zoning by-laws. However, clients acknowledge and agree to the following conditions:

  • Municipal Authority: PermitGuys does not issue building permits or control municipal timelines. Final approval, permit issuance, conditions, and processing times are at the sole discretion of the relevant municipality (e.g., Town of Oakville, City of Toronto, Region of Peel).
  • Zoning & Variances: If a proposed design requires a Committee of Adjustment minor variance or site plan control approval, PermitGuys will facilitate the application process, but cannot guarantee approval by municipal boards or committees.
  • Accuracy of Client Data: PermitGuys relies on property surveys, site measurements, and information provided by the client. PermitGuys is not responsible for delays or errors resulting from inaccurate client-supplied data or undisclosed property encumbrances (e.g., easements, heritage designations, conservation authority restrictions).

5. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses

When using our website or interacting with our team, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable federal, provincial, or local laws or regulations.
